Here's a new comment from Jo Plamondon, who bought my sculpture EGO SYSTÈME vs ECOSYSTÈME at the Toiles Bois, Feux exhibition last October.

I've known Lucien-Carol (PROU) for a year now, as he's very involved in the Cap-Santé artists' group near Quebec City and its cultural life.  I discovered the talent of this incredible sculptor when I visited the Escale du Roy art gallery. As I entered the showroom, I came face to face with his impressive work entitled “L'ego système versus l'écosystème”, and it was love at first sight.  Three months later, at his Toiles, Bois, Feux trio exhibition, I saw this work again and immediately rushed to acquire it. 

For me, this sculpture, which verges on impertinence, is totally relevant to the times in which we live. It speaks to me so much of our courage in the face of everything we've been through with the COVID crisis, and of the challenges we still face. Every day, it invites me to remain simple, authentic and respectful of ourselves and nature. It's a cry to awaken our consciousness as humans and as a living species on this earth. Above all, it's a beacon for the values I choose to put forward in my life. When things aren't going well, I look at the hand of nature sculpted with its middle finger, and it makes me let go and smile. I notice that Luc's touch of humour.
